Directions from the south: E45 from Göteborg to Karlstad. After about 50 km. head towards Sjuntorp, after the church turn right, after the school turn left. After 1 km. turn left into Påvelund and drive on for 2 km. Turn right and immediately right again. Skattetorpet runs along the horse farm, the next farm is Skattetorpet.Directions from the north: south off Trollhättan on the E45 to Sjuntorp. In Sjuntorp, turn left after the school. After 1 km. turn left to Påvelund and drive on for 2 km. Turn right and immediately right again. Skattetorpet is 250m. past the horse farm.

The first lock in Lilla Edet has a 6 meter drop and the next four locks in Trollhättan have a fall of about 32 meters.
